Naples

I perfectly remember my first visit to Naples in Italy. We arrived when it was getting dark, the front shutters of the shops and bars were already closed and there was hardly any light coming to the outside. The streets were full of immigrants and stinking trash as the collectors were on strike over pay. The next day’s light uncovered the historical value of the city with its narrow streets and old buildings.

In 2017 I decided to come back to Naples to try to capture its irresistible charm and energy. The city was even more appealing than before, yet its darker side continued to dominate over the bright one. I hope I was able to capture that on my Naples images.
