Jakarta

At first Jakarta seemed as boring as the highway that leads to the city. This could actually be one of the reasons the Indonesian government is relocating the capital to Borneo. Jokes aside, the extremely polluted Jakarta is also the fastest sinking city in the world so there’s a huge risk of a catastrophic flooding.

Jakarta was the final destination on our trip across Java island and after using very simple accommodation and eating mostly fried rice with vegetables on our route we found the capital to be relieving. My Jakarta photos were mostly taken in the less developed districts of the city as I found these areas more interesting to visit.
